My name is Acacia Slaton Beumer and I am a graduate of Oral Roberts University. I am presently pursuing a masters in counseling.
At the age of 15, I was diagnosed with schizophrenia; I suffered from the symptoms of this disease from youth throughout my twenties. These experiences increased my faith in the LORD like never before. I needed to know that He was real and performed miracles today as he did in days of old. I am set free, no longer taking medication, and realize the LORD has healed me and is a faithful and merciful God! Sadly, many of us go through trials and blame the LORD; we allow distress and perplexities in our lives to cause us to turn our back on our faith in Jesus Christ. I am so guilty of this!
